Vermont Life

The Department of Tourism and Marketing promotes Vermont as a travel destination in order to support a diverse and vital economy. Vermont Life is a quarterly magazine published by the State of Vermont. It explores and celebrates the state's people, places and rich heritage. Stunning color photography and award-winning journalism make Vermont Life your insider's guide to the secret places and special character of the Green Mountain State.

Economic, Housing and Community Development

The Department of Economic, Housing and Community Development  offers a wide range of programs to further sustainable development in Vermont communities. The department is the state's central office for local and regional land use planning, state housing policy including the Mobile Home Park Program, the Vermont Community Development Program, state-owned historic sites, archeological resources, and preservation of Vermont's historic resources including downtowns and village centers. The Department also provides support for businesses and job creation by assisting with finance, permitting, foreign trade, export finance, training, business recruitment/expansion, government contract procurement, and captive insurance sales and marketing services. The Vermont Economic Progress Council is an arm of the department. The department also funds and supports regional development efforts through the Regional Planning Commissions, Regional Development Corporations and through other partners.
