Mask Parade: This year we will be doing away with the Halloween Costume Parade. Instead, the students will be making animal masks through art class and learning a dance movement in PE in order to perform to The Carnival of the Animals by Saint Saens. Parents are welcome to come to the performance and more details will be sent home in the coming weeks. The important thing for you to note is students should not bring their Halloween costumes to school.

School Rules Mural: Last spring many of the students created a mural to represent our three school rules: be safe, be kind and do your best. The mural is right outside the library. Please take a moment to check it out the next time you’re in the building.

Open House: Our fall open house is scheduled for Thursday, October 14 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

Picking up Students at the End of the Day: Thank you for your support in our efforts to keep the students safe and the middle hallway uncongested during the afternoon dismissal. Please note, if you need your child dismissed earlier than 3:00 (whether it is at 2:45 or 11:30) you must come to the office and have Ms. Luman call your child down. Do not go down to the classroom and take your child.

Harvest Dinners: The Harvest Dinners are scheduled for Tuesday, October 26 (Kindergarten, Second Grade and EEE) and Wednesday, October 27 (First Grade and Multi-age). The dinners are pot luck and start at 6:30 PM. The PTO will be sending out more information about what to bring as we get closer to the dates.

Parking at Night Events: We always have a great turnout at nightly events and parking is usually an issue. Just so you know, Claussen’s is willing to let us use their parking lot in the evening to help ease the demand.
