Jungle Party Tonight:  What great performances!  Thanks to all who came out to support our students and all their hard work.

Playground Construction Help:  Don’t forget to mark Sunday, May 1 on your calendars.  We will begin construction at 8:00 AM .  Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

School Budget Vote:  On Tuesday, May 3 the voters of Colchester will be going to the polls to vote on the proposed 2005-06 school budget.  Please make an effort to get to the white meeting house on this date to vote.  Your support is critical!

Tag Sale:  The PTO will be holding a tag sale on Saturday, May 21 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM to benefit our school.  Donations will be accepted on Saturday, May 7 and Saturday, May 14 from 8:00 AM to noon at the old fire station between the school and Claussen’s.  Should your schedule conflict with these dates, you may call Amy Breen at 879-5058 to discuss other arrangements for donations.  Please make sure any items donated are clean and saleable.

TV Turnoff Week:  Are you sick of your TV being on all the time?  Do you want to shut the TV off and get outside and enjoy the spring weather?  Now is your opportunity.  The week of April 25 is TV Turnoff Week.  Mrs. Flanagan has passed out information, so if you haven’t received it, please contact her at 878-0935.

Make It/Take It Open House:  Our annual Make It/Take It Open House will be from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, April 27.  We will be showcasing what the students have learned about the elements of nonfiction and animals (our theme for the year).  There will be a variety of small projects that families can make, and then take home.  All are welcome.

Kindergarten Registration:  Registration for children who will attend kindergarten in the Colchester School District during the 2005-06 school year will be held on May 9, 10 and 11, 2005.  This registration is for children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2005 .  You need to contact the elementary school in your designated neighborhood to set up an appointment.  For the registration you will need a birth certificate, immunization record, the child’s social security number and a recent photo.  The child also needs to attend as he/she will take part in a 20-30 minute screening.

Respectfully,

Chris Antonicci

Principal
