Important Announcements:

Income Tax Return Due Dates

April 15, 2015 - 2014 Income Tax Return
April 15, 2015 - 2014 Income Tax Return Extension Request Due*
  • Vermont Form IN-151 or a copy of IRS Form 4868 must be received by the Vermont Dept. of Taxes by April 15th or a $50.00 late filing fee will be issued even when no tax is due on the return.
  • An extension only allows more time to file the return. It does not extend the time to pay tax. Interest and penalty will accrue on tax due from the original due date of the return to the time of payment.
*NOTE: Extension of time to file the income tax return does not apply to:
The Homestead Declaration , Property Tax Adjustment Claim OR Renter Rebate Claim

Extended 2014 Income Tax Return Due

You must file a Property Tax Adjustment Claim every year in order to be eligible to receive a property tax adjustment!

Use NEW Form HS-122  to file the claim. The filing due date is April 15, 2015.

Claims may be filed up to October 15, 2015 ($15 late filing penalty applies). No Property Tax Adjustment Claims accepted after October 15
