Know What You Owe

Voluntary Self-Audit Program

August 1, 2013-May 1, 2014

Know What You Owe, a voluntary self-audit program, will help businesses better understand the Vermont Sales and Use Tax. From Aug. 1, 2013, to May 1, 2014, business owners may sign up to participate in the program, conduct a self-audit, and remit the right amount of tax.

Please note: In order to be eligible for the voluntary self-audit program, Know What You Owe, a business must not have been previously contacted by the department in regards to an audit or have any outstanding tax, interest, or penalty liabilities.

Know What You Owe Materials and Resources
Complete and sign the Know What You Owe Notice of Participation and the Spreadsheet. Include both documents to be sure you are correctly credited for the program.
