Members Of Our Guidance Team

Janet Wood - Ms. Wood is the guidance counselor for students in grades 7-9 whose last name begins with A-J. She graduated from Plattsburg State University with a M.S. in Community Counseling and a C.A.S. in school counseling. One of Ms. Wood's primary focuses is helping with the sixth graders' transition to middle school. She is also the Otter Teen Network Liaison as well as the head of Upward Bound.

Kelly Maurer - Ms. Maurer is a University of Vermont graduate with a M.S. in Counseling. She's the guidance counselor for all students in grades 7-9 whose last name begins with K-Z. She is also the OATS Coordinator and the group facilitator for the middle school. Ms. Maurer (along with Ms. Wood) helps with the transition from elementary school to middle school.

Meredith McCartney - Ms. McCartney graduated from UMASS Amherst with a M.ED. in Family therapy and a CAGS in Mental Health. She is the guidance counselor for all students in grades 10-12 whose last name begins with A-J. Aside from being a guidance counselor, she's also the Evergreen coordinator as well as the Drug Free Schools liaison and the Rutland Mental Health liaison.

Lori Robear - Ms. Robear joined the guidance team in 1992 and is currently the head of the department.. She is the guidance counselor for all students in grades 9-12 whose last name begins with K-Z.  She is also the testing liaison and works very closely with the alternative education program.
