Welcome to the UMS library page. We are happy to be back in school for another fun year. Donna King-Johnson is the library assistant( she's on the left) and has done this job for nine years. My name is Judy Flanagan and this is my eighteenth year as a school librarian. I love to read and help young children discover the joy of reading and books. The children at UMS come to the library as a class once a week to pick books, listen to a story, work on literacy activities and use computers in the library and the computer lab. Trying out new computer games is always popular at UMS. Over the summer I was able to purchase many new books. It seems that we can never have enough princess, shark, horse, kitten or dog books. Non-fiction is very popular in our library!! We will study different authors every month, highlight our Red Clover books for 2004-05, read and discuss non-fiction and hopefully have an author come to our school. We are off to a great start.
